Pinecrest High School in North Carolina has admitted its LOST hundreds of ACT tests..and now students have to RE-TAKE them!!

Parents and Students were told that "human error" was the reason for the tests never being sent to be graded and now they can't be found.

440 Students who took the college admissions test on February 20 and March 13 have been told they have to re-take the test

Principle Stefanie Phillips said "I deeply regret the situation and apologize to the entire rising senior class"

Moore County School District administrators haven't said what led to them being lost but confirmed through a thorough investigation that action had to be taken and they are taking it very seriously

Catherine Murphy said they reached out to ACT about May 20th and Over the weekend of June 9th, it was confirmed that they never received the tests....

ACT declined to comment

They are now reassessing its security measures and operating procedure for external standardized testing and the school has created a plan to make sure the process is more reliable in the future

That's too little too late for the kids who took the exam and were excited for the summer as they will have to take it again asap but won't be charged for it.

The district will have to shell out 30,000 to re-do the tests and scheduling the make up which is already in the works

The date will be selected to ensure they have the opportunity to take the test prior to Early Decision deadlines for college entrace

All high school students are required to take the ACT or SAT or both depending the college they want to go to. It takes about 3.5 hours to complete that consits of multiple choice tests on English, Math, Reading and Science

Some students were furious to have to retake it after putting so much effort into studying and taking it already.

17 y/o Lindsay Douglass talked to CNN and said "I was very angry and i still am, just because we worked so hard and studied hard and to be told it was all for nothing. It's really disappointing. These students are having to pay for the adults' mistakes"

Incoming Senior Class President, John Cox took it WELL and said "You can't be too upset about it. Human error is bound to happen sometimes. As long as the retest is handled in the way it is supposed to and people ge their results in time for college applications, then i don't think it's too big of a deal"

Would you be mad if you had to re-take this test?
