Personally, the only $60 games I've bought digitally are ones that I feel will be good to have readily on-hand without having to carry the card around. So far, that's just been Smash (I thought the same thing about MHGU, but that logic ended up not being tremendously applicable there), but I'll be doing the same for Animal Crossing when it comes out, and would do the same for Mario Kart or Mario Party if I decided to pick them up. Anything that's fun in short, impulsive bursts, really, especially when multiplayer gets involved.
