Elder Scrolls could be really cool, especially if you go slow and get yourself to be op. This is of course, assuming you've got mc status and can pretty much do anything. Be great to take advantage of exploits and have 100% chameleon armor, or totally over enchanted weapons that deal enough damage to one shot anything.

Something like Tamriel (or more specifically the world that the ES games are set on) would be awesome, if not for the fact it's dangerous and lacking in basic amenities. As such, the world of Pokemon seems preferable.

Not sure. Seems like most places have some kind of peril and you have to wait in fear for a hero, sometimes an inept hero, to save your ass.

Monster Hunter: great weapon skills, superhuman strength and agility, awesome feasting and quaffing, able to fall hundreds of feet or get tossed by monsters with no injury, any injuries instantly cured by potion, always exciting things to do!

Elite. Even just being a peon working on a spaceship is extremely appealing. Though with my luck I'd end up a slave or working at a penal colony on a barren rock somewhere.
