Oh. Could be anything. I know I played Animal crossing without a memory card on GC once over a long weekend. I also remember having a week off from work and playing Far Cry 4 the whole time. Though, anytime I have a new game by itself, Ill play that for a long time without stopping. Like if I have time off work...

Man, for a long time I didn't have a memory card for my PS1, so I kept playing through the beginning of Mega Man Legends without saving. I think a couple times I got about halfway through the game.

People who didn't play in the PS1/PS2 era won't know the struggle of not being able to save. Older games saved to the cartridge (if they saved at all), and newer games require hard drives or other methods of memory.

Empire earth 2 art of conquest. I started during school and did a bunch of math to improve my numbers and when summer hit I was on the computer almost every waking hour putting that into practice. I was pretty good too, but I hated EE3 so I dropped the game when they dropped support for the aoc servers.

Path of Exile I did around 36 hours straight without sleep.
In retrospect that was a giant waste of time. I was trying to prove I was good at a game I would never be good at.

Longest games by sheer hours are Runesacpe at around 3500 and STO at around 3000 (which will ironically be the very last game I ever play -- hopefully).

Yep, same problem. SEGA in Australia totally screwed up the Dreamcast launch and there was a 2-3 week delay on the memory cards

Did Sonic Adventure again properly after they came out.. but dang it if those memory cards ate up the batteries in a couple of hours

I once played a single game of Joust for over 6 hours. Racked up a score of 6.7 million. I figured out how to kill the pterodactyl 99% of the time, so I basically beat the game at that point.

The longest I've played a modern game (with saves) is probably Skyrim. I put in about 1000 hours on a single character. That's because I run around doing all the stupid side quests and never do anything about the main quest. And I go almost everywhere on foot instead of fast traveling. And I pick every single freaking flower and mushroom I find, so it takes 5 times longer to get anywhere because "Ooh, piece of candy. Ooh, piece of candy. Ooh, piece of candy." and the next thing I know I'm half way across the map in the wrong direction.

yeh, I lost that drive now too, Like I could play a game for an hour to two now, but I would deviate to something else nowadays like internet or something I have to do. Although I miss playing liek Super Mario RPg with cousins taking turns with our characters or taking turns on the world map.

Pretty much any game I rented from the video store back in the 80's and early 90's. I think the last rental I had was NBA Jam, it was during February break at school. I had a 3 day rental, and all I did for those 3 days was sleep, eat, and play that game.

Excluding sleep? I can only guess at that, but I think something around 200 hours (FF13 on a 100% run, alternating with bouts of Minecraft). It helps that I sleep on my living room couch anyway, and have a tendency to get through my grinding in games while I'm sort of half-awake. ;D

Not excluding sleep, my longest gaming run was 52 hours. I know that was an FF game too, but for some reason I can't recall now whether it was VIII, IX or XII - I do think one of those. I was still a teenager when I did that. Couldn't now, not with chronic fatigue as a factor! But *excluding* sleep is for lightweights, lol. Unless you're disabled.

I'm playing through it now with a friend, and I think it has the same quality as the other dlc packs. Its fun! I also find it interesting to see the devs putting out a dlc 6 years or so after the last one, without skipping a beat. The story is particularly rewarding for those who beat Tales from the Borderlands.

Lol, sounds like me the day Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire first came out.

I went to the midnight release party in the nearest town in my witch costume. After that, I had to wait until about 7AM for the first bus back to my village, so I spent the whole time just sitting reading. I finished it in 6 hours 30 minutes for 636 pages (UK 1st edition), so about a page & two-thirds per minute, I think?

I was 14 at the time, so don't knock it =P
