I just spent 30 minutes on the 2nd level's C-Side. Just have to finish the last 6 c-sides and I'll have everything done except the golden strawberries because those are just lol nope. Really not looking forward to the hotel c-side because the timing related stuff is the only thing that I'm not a huge fan of in this game.

Yeah I did each b-side before I moved onto the next level so that the mechanics would still be fresh in my mind. Also forced me to get good much faster because I think they definitely intended for you to do the b-sides after you finish all of the levels.

The c-sides get unlocked after the beat the b-side for that last level. They seem shorter so far but the gimmick is that the last screen for each c-side is REALLY long. They're like 5 or 6 normal screens stuck together but if you die you gotta start the beginning obviously.

I reached 189 strawberries (14 goldens) but I really couldn't keep going. There are more that I could get but it was too time-consuming as it was.

I have 1ABC, 2ABC, 3C, 4C, 5C, 6C, 7C, 8ABC.

I just checked and I stopped at 151 strawberries. I looooove acts 1-3 but 4 and on seemed like they went downhill. I got most of the regular strawberries and did the first 3 B-sides but I felt the game's nuances at the higher difficulties were getting more frustrating than fun, so I stopped to keep my memory of the game good.

This stage is beqtable only if you get lucky dnough to land those pixel perfect jumps or have some super skills

I dont remember C-Sides being a thing, was that DLC? Also I would recommend Slime-San if you like that kind of difficulty progression. A game held in high praise that slipped past a lot of people. Not as good as Celeste but its up there for me

You have to beat all of the B-Sides and they unlock. Don't think they were an upgrade, I see people talking about them around when the game came out. There's a Chapter 9 DLC coming sometime in the near future though.

I mean 6-C was easy too but 5-C was basically just a test to see if you could do the upward dash wall jump consistently. The window is pretty lenient for those so they're not exactly hard, even when the wall is 1 square.

i mean, if you're good at wall dash jumps then I can see 5 being easy for you but it's in the top half of difficulty imo

2 and 6 are the easiest imo. the first half of 6 is more of a puzzle figuring out the path of the block, once you've got it it's not hard to execute, and then you even get a checkpoint before the second half

I am not really sure about me needing to git gud
My death count for most levels are much better than the average player
It's just C-5 in particular that I hate
I have yet to try C-7 and even though people say it's the hardest I believe it will be less of a trouble to me

7C has dash wall jumps as well

Yep 7C has a 1 block dash jump in the middle after a pretty long and very precise crystal dodging section. I'm not done with 8C yet but 7C was definitely the hardest thing in the game so far.

7C is absolutely the hardest (and most fulfilling) challenge in the game IMO. 8C is no slouch but it does feel a bit like a victory lap after 7C. Can't wait to see what the Chapter 9 dlc is going to be like, since it's supposed to be a definitive final challenge harder than anything in the base game.

Unlockable remixes of the main stages. They use all your skills from finishing the main game as a starting point and push the game's mechanics (and your abilities) to the limit.

There are 8 levels in the game and each level has a hidden cassette tape that unlocks a B-Side version of the level which is a lot harder. Beating all of the B-Sides unlocks the C-Sides which are shorter, more intense, kinda gauntlet style levels. Each C-Side ends with a long area with 0 checkpoints so they can be pretty brutal.

Game is amazing though
