I stopped supporting EA a loooooooong time ago. Last game I bought of theirs was ME3 and that's because I was playing the series before they turned to shit and removed all their games from Steam.

I generally don't buy EA games because the ones they publish just don't interest me. Fallen Order looks no different. If that's what they showed to try to entice people then I expect it to be fairly mediocre.

It's funny because they made it look like a generic linear action game with a Star Wars skin, but hands-on impressions said it was more like KOTOR with Metroidvania-type planet exploration.

I never said they didn't. Hell Star Wars Jedi Order is their sole upcoming game I have any interest in.

But the single player only thing was a huge issue people had with EA. It's not like people are showing any excitement that EA is trying to do a single player game for Jedi Fallen Order.

look at what games are now and look what they showed us. inexcusable imo

I honestly don't know what you're talking about. It didn't look like a bad game or anything. Just looked sorta samey.

But so did God of War and that turned out great. The structure and pacing of the game matters significantly and that's still an unknown. The gameplay itself looked fun enough.

They got rid of the p2w lootbox model and micro transactions before the game even launched. They had a road map which relied on those MTs as they already said prior to launch all future updates and dlc would be free. Then that road map got utterly fucked day 0. Day -1 actually, and they still restructured the game within the year to circumvent that. Nobody complained until like 3 days before launch.

Yeah I've heard that, but for what looks to be the moment to moment gameplay and combat looks boring. The only slightly interesting thing to me was pulling enemies in-front of blaster fire, and even that isn't something new to games.

Because it's EA, they have a very bad reputation in ruining anything they touch with anti-consumer shit. I mean I'm actually kind of excited for it, but will not be getting it day 1 or anything until I know for sure EA is not going to do any shady shit with it.

It actually wasnt. Good, canon campaign, single player arcade mode, solid gameplay and graphics are great. Did you play it at release or are you just saying what you heard? Even the few days I got to play before release(when so called pay to win was a thing) it was still a great game. And having purple star cards didnt make shitty players better, to this day it doesnt. But those micro transactions got taken out before the official release and the only thing you can pay for now, and for a long time now, is skins and emotes.
