Some sort of tourettes group lauded South Park's tourettes episode for getting this right.

When I had like 3 days left in Afghanistan and our relief unit was transitioning in to replace us, one of their guys had tourettes. I was trying to take a nap and the dude kept going "boop" like every 5 minutes. Thought he was just being a dick, but found out later what his issue was.

Thought he was just being a dick, but found out later what his issue was. lol I was watching something on youtube about a dude with tourettes and even he laughed at his own tics. He would say random-ass things at inoppurtune times lol. He was just setting there having a casual conversation with some dude, when he suddenly blurted out "I take loads of drugs!". He corrected himself and said "I don't actually do drugs." lol --- Voted worst user on CE 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Current e-argument streak: 0 wins. 99999 losses. ... It's also not always words at all. Sometimes it's movements.

I went to middle school with a guy, and I wonder if he had Tourettes. He was always turning his head in weird ways and making this noise with his throat.

In college I had a few courses with this dude that had tourettes. It was really unfortunate because on top of being inadvertantly disruptive, is was also one of the more "amusing" tics I've ever encountered and often people couldn't help laughing. :/
I mean, he had a good additude about it and was pretty cool and understanding. Anyway, he'd go "HAA HAAAA!" like some kind of cartoon pirate, then slap his hands together in that "all done!" type gesture. During tests it was really something. >_> --- I guess I'm something of a ne'er do well. Pittsburgh ... Copied to Clipboard!

I went to middle school and high school with a kid that had tourettes. I never heard him cuss. Had him in at least 1 class every semester from 6th-12th grade. From my understanding tics don't usually progress or become more elaborate after a young age, his did.
In 6th grade his tic was turning his face suddenly (often at you/someone) and making a loud smooching sound. I'd say "I love you too Chase", sometimes when he did it at me. He'd respond with "I love you" usually. This progressed over a couple years to involve his shoulder/arm, to flinging his whole arm out, with a loud boop sound. By 12th grade it was all that plus a headbang at his lifted up knee, then lifting his breast up and licking at his nipple (he was always a tall chubby guy). He'd have a wet mark on his shirt from that usually when you saw him. Despite all that he was a super chill dude, and friendly to everyone. No one ever made fun of him for it that I ever saw. Not to his face at least. He would make people/us/himself laugh sometimes when it was super quiet in class and he'd suddenly do a loud tic. I remember one time in English class 10th grade. We were taking a vocabulary test, and he had a desk right to the left of me. I'm taking this test and I can see him looking right at me in my peripheral vision. He has eyes open real big and I could tell he was suppressing a tic. I could see his face vibrating in intensity and doing little head bobs . I'm trying not to laugh and burying my face in my jacket away from him to let some of my laughter out quietly a few times. I had to take this test so I finally just looked right at him with big open eyes. He turned bright red and we smiled, and he started taking the test finally lol. I hope he got better control over it as an adult. That dose happen and can completely go away. --- I personally like Link as a Rugged Shaman Swashbuckler more than Resourceful Gadget Boy. But sometimes they are just too funny to contain your amusement. As long as your not a dick about laughing at them, most probably understand how humorous it can be. --- I personally like Link as a Rugged Shaman Swashbuckler more than Resourceful Gadget Boy.
