It is the best game of all time. It has the most advanced graphics of any game there is, the gameplay is top notch, and it would go down in history as the best game of all time.

However, the game is less than 1 hour long, and is entirely linear, with absolutely no replayability at all. It costs $60.

What happens now?

$5 DLC for all the buyers or $10 for the season pass. Both include plenty of unnecessary padding to appease those who complained it was too short

Well, you just said it will go down in history as the best game of all time. So in this hypothetical scenario, those things are non factors, or maybe even good things.

I wouldn't make a linear game with no replayability though as I have no interest in them. lol
Though in the spirit of the question, never play it, add free DLC and then eventually maybe paid as well depending how much extra content I made and how much I felt truly was extra, and then lie awake at night randomly feeling like the biggest rip off artist in the world but being glad finally was able to make money for my house.
