Well Feige mentioned both Fantastic Four and "Mutants" but neither of them are on the Phase 4 calendar. A lot of websites added F4 into their versions and their headlines but it's not actually on the timeline.

I agree on this. Phase is probably an additional year on this calendar. I would expect Panther to get dated in this Phase for sure.

The movies that are currently scheduled and properly titled are the whole Phase 4, unless something gets added or shuffled part way through, like Homecoming and Inhumans.

I think he's just humouring us with this phase 4 stuff to begin with. He said a bunch of times that they aren't going to really think of things in phases after phase 3 ends since it's not going to be an ongoing story arc like the Infinity Saga was.

But everyone kept speculating what phase 4 will be about and what movies will be in it, so he called it phase 4, and now people are like "but what's phase 4 and what's phase 5????" so he's just saying "oh yeah this random collection of movies and tv shows is phase 4, deal with it"

maybe phase 4 is a bunch of random stuff as a palette cleanser between sagas and then phase 5 will begin some kind of Dr. Doom or Galactus plotline

I think this will work as kind of a breather phase before they do another big event after bringing in the FF and X-Men in the next round after this. I could see Avengers vs X-Men happening and doing really well at that point.

1, taking a breather after all that Infinity War/Endgame stuff and
2, please buy Disney+

Kevin Feige said that they had 5 years of stuff planned out and that it was Phase 4 and 5. So I'm led to believe that the slate we saw is basically all of phase 4 minus an Avengers bookend and maybe another movie. Remember all the Disney+ TV shows count as part of the MCU.

As for what Avengers 5 could be. Unless they reveal fantastic 4 and/or x-men characters somewhere outside of their own movies (like in Dr. Strange 2 or Eternals), they don't have enough key pieces for Secret Invasion quite yet. Young Avengers is also something they are clearly working towards but some of the key characters don't even have their mentors/parents getting movies or tv shows in phase 4. I can see them doing Secret Invasion as like a Captain Marvel 2 (and basically make it like Avengers 5.5). Or I can see it being the bookend to 5 and having Young Avengers as like an extra movie or even a TV series. IMO this is something they might have to do if they want to develop everything required in a timely matter. Kang still seems like the likely Phase 5 big bad.

I think that Secret Wars is easily the one that I think everyone wants the most, but imo this does not have a chance to be made until Phase 6 Avengers at the earliest.

If they are going to try and stretch that long, they are likely gonna end up losing their audience. By time phase 6 is here that would be like 2024/2025. You will have lost the majority of your actors by then I would guess.

Thats why they keep bringing new people in. Most of the original Avengers wont be around in 2025, but they have Spider-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Dr. Strange, and others who are probably locked into contracts at least that long.
