Perhaps this was in the cards from the moment Cuphead doubled Dead Cells as the lower seed in their match. Later, Cuphead beat Obra Dinn to stamp its finals spot after the latter tripled its Round 3 opponent, a game that had won two contentious upset victories. It's just surprising that the best the seemingly stacked top half could muster ultimately fell short of quite a few bottom half games. On that note, I'll post some (LOL) X-Stats soon. Congratulations are also in order to malyg, whose prediction prevailed by one point despite mustering a mere 72/192 possible points and 32/64 correct picks (the second lowest of all predictions). Really fun contest although the winner was disappointing, personally - especially as it inflicted a blowout in the finals against a top 5 indie game for me. Then again I didn't expect Cave Story to get nearly as far so that was a nice surprise!
