Um, even during the voting that was done to help decide who was last, people were campaigning to purposely vote smash to the final because they didn't find it interesting. How is it spin?

SFV closed out Final Round this year, but not the other premiers in America. I heard an FGC commentator say on his personal stream that Capcom is trying to accommodate its global audience.

Smash is the main event this year and likely next year unless a new SF comes out

I don't watch Smash so this means nothing to me

I don't care about SFV/Capcom losing main event status either lol, it's their own fault there's really no need to make excuses for them

Given the FGC used to complain about how Melee shouldn't be there because its fans didn't stick around for other games, this is pretty ironic

With Melee gone Smash is a lot more fun to watch i am fine with this.

Also quite the fall for FighterZ.

Considering SC6 probably won't get another Evo, It would be nice if it got BBTag's slot

I think BBTAG is Bo5 the whole way which will slow it down a bit compared to previous EVOs. I'm not sure about UNIST.

BBTag is a weird game. Some sets will be over in 5 minutes, some will take 20 minutes.

One thing to note is there are only 4 Sunday games this year. At risk of underestimating how badly a schedule can fall apart, I would say SSBU should finish before midnight EDT. It's pretty much going to get roughly the same time slot DBFZ got last year.
