Current Events > Playing Battlefront 2 (2017) for the 1st time. Holy cow da load times are insane

I got it for like $5 a few months ago and finally popped it in. It legit takes like 3 minutes of loading to get to the main menu and another 3 minutes to load up a campaign mission. What the actual fuck.

The campaign is alright so far >_> I'm at endor now.

So where do I spend credits and how do I get crystals without paying EA money? And does unlocking heroes still take 40 hours per hero or did they fix that?

It's sad that even though DICE had a part in the loot boxes scheme at launch, they've been EA's bulletsoaked meat shield ever since and still had to clean up the entire mess to make the game decent now.

The whole monetization and unit structure was redone from scratch so I think all hero units are free for everyone but if not, the newest ones cost 40k in credits that you can spend under the collection menu. You also spend your credits on perks, soldier skins, and alternate costumes for heroes.

BF1 and Battlefront 2 (Battlefield 1, that is) both have atrocious loading times. BF5 somehow loads very quickly.

Im playing on PC on an SSD and the load time is still very noticeable. Its under a minute but its still long enough where youre like, damn, is this thing stuck? Oh no, there it goes. Shit.

They fixed it, most if not all (I don't recall) heroes are unlocked. The only thing you can spend actual money on, and the only thing those credits you purchase are good for are in-game cosmetics, which you can obtain by grinding a bit also (the grind is kind of minimal now also)

They threw out just about anything questionable or controversial from the game long ago and it's honest in it's current state.

The campaign was cool also, I enjoyed it a lot. There is still an online population also, I have no issues finding a game when I get a wild hair up my ass and feel like running some for an hour or two.

Yes, they just released a new map, two new heroes and a new game mode a week ago. General grevious and dark anakin were the characters.
