You can change it back in advanced settings. The persons username will be blue though and can be clicked on still. Buy it goes back to being in boxes with black text

If that is an actual part of the change it'd be the only thing I don't like. It's not hard to edit a post to get only the quote that you want, but I liked the highlight to quote thingy.

As for the new look, it doesn't bother me at all.

Fortunately the highlight to quote still works. Having to manually edit out an irrelevant quote chain would be a real hassle when all I'm replying to is a single comment.

Often enough. Usually when replying to multiple post. Or longer post when I reply to parts at a time. I wouldnt say everyday. But still. Also, what helps me not reach my character limit is being able to highlight only a part to copy. Replying to Wolfe or PO, for example, would mean quote a wall or text when you may only want to ask about one thing. And that could cause you to reach the limit faster, requiring more than one post. Which becomes a hassle if you send out multiple messages in less than a minute.

Case in point, quoting this entire post - which really doesn't have all that much written content in it - comes up as 1925 characters in Word. Throw in the weird quirk of GameFAQs character counts where line breaks count as 5 characters, and you're looking at half the character limit gone just like that. Most of the time, it won't be an issue, but it's still going to be an issue much more often now than when quote tags had ~20 characters total. It's just not good design.

This is how it has always looked for me with this theme. This is what it looks like without changing it in the settings. It's still set to indented. The only difference was a slightly lighter quote text which I barely noticed. Like when you think something is a little off but you're not entirely sure?

I quoted that whole thing, and your post and I was able to type quite a lot more than 75 more characters and when I did get to a point, much more than 75 characters, it finally said I had like 600 characters left. I think GFAQs counts a lot less than what Word does.

Then when I went to post it, I had exceded the the quote limit before the character limit.

And also, why would you quote all of that when you're not going to be responding to everything that's quoted?
