The Racist Administration will propose a new rule to tighten food stamp restrictions that will cut out 3.1 MILLION people off the program as he wants poor people to PROVE they can't afford food as this will save 15 BILLION from the budget where Trump is finding ways to save money to pay for his massive spending programs after his massive tax cut to the rich!!

43 States allow residents to be automatically eligible for food stamps through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program where they receive benefits from the federal program known as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families

They want people who receive benefits to pass a REVIEW of their own income and assets to determine if they really need it

This would save the gov't, 2.5 billion a year by removing people from SNAP

He said that people don't need this anymore because of a STRONG ECONOMY and low unemployment and thinkt hey should be able to get a good JOB to pay for their own food.

USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue said "Some states are taking advantage of loopholes that allow people to receive SNAP Benefits who would otherwise not quality and not entitled"

Nancy Pelosi SLAMMED the move as "callousness" and that the "administrations latest act of staggering callouneness would steal food off the table of working families and hungry children and dismantle proven pathways out of poverty for millions. This proposal perfectly showcases the Republicans' cynical special interest agenda that gives billion dollar handouts to big corporations and the wealthy few and steals from children, veterans, seniors and working families to make up the difference"

A Trump backed effort failed to pass through Congress last year but this one doesn't need approval to stop states from automatically allowing recipients of TANF benefits to become eligible for SNAP

There are more than a few reasons people might be better off on food stamps than working.

Child care and needing flexible hours that even part time jobs might not be able to offer. More than a few regions of the US (predominately black areas of the South especially) don't have public transportation that would allow them to head across town to work, and the costs of travel would add up so much that after taxes and travel costs, they'd end up with less money. Oh, but also since they're earning money they suddenly might be unable to qualify for their insurance, and as a part time worker they won't qualify for employer insurance.

left anarchism also focuses on dismantling or flattening vertical hierarchy as much as possible, and they view any sort of free market capitalist system as an economic hierarchy (that could fall under the umbrella of "legitimate use of force"). in my experience ancaps tend to focus much more on the NAP, in that you can basically do whatever as long as it's free association and you're not causing harm to others

I personally agree that unregulated capitalism leads to hierarchies as wealth accumulates, so I find it almost completely incompatible with more traditional anarchist philosophy - not to mention the whole "property is theft" thing, that's kind of a roadblock lol

Hell be fucking over the Red States and poor white peoples then he is Democrats so thats why really wont do it, its just rhetoric to rally the Republicans (yes they think it doesnt really count when theyre on food stamps),

See I'd rather the government restructure or revamp this aspect rather than remove it altogether because there are so many jobs out there with shit wages just above the max amount of income required which disqualifies a huge proportion of people. So if there's like a hundred dollar difference by technicality, those folks are still having a really hard time making ends meet while paying for food out of pocket.
