I played the FFVII Remake Demo while I was at PAX West.

The micro managing definitely takes some getting use to, but it's pretty good.

The Guard Scorpion fight was like 90% of the demo. While I'm sure it was to teach some of the mechanics of the game and quite possibly for demo purposes, the fight felt kinda long. Like 10x the length of the fight in the original game.

In any case if the remake brings in a unique enough Dark Nation, he better be eligible for next year.

I don't recall hearing that.

It was something more like them saying to watch out for that laser that it's charging and to take cover.

I don't think it even counterattacks if you do attack it while its tail is up because it's charging its laser.
