Never thought anybody would rip off Huniepop, but I guess anything's possible. The game is Passion Puzzle on the Google Play Store. It's seriously got all the same mechanics, though probably minus the naughty bits. The biggest surprise for me is that it's not made in mainland China (which usually warrants an automatic uninstall from me).

Well, it seems like my medical battle has taken a step forward. The neurologist is pretty convinced I have a rare condition called dysautonomia. It's actually a bit of an umbrella term for a few different conditions and it can be caused by other problems or appear on its own. I won't know for sure until I get the testing for it that thankfully we scheduled months back just in case which will be in mid december (theres like 1 guy total that does the testing in my state and he doesn't take any sort of financial aid).

It uh, really sucks though. Unless it's from an underlying condition, most of which are awful like parkinson's disease which my grandfather recently died from, it won't ever be cured, just sorta treated. Even with treatment though, I may never have a decent quality of life. I just don't know for now I guess. I'm trying to stay positive but it kinda feels like my life is over.

On the bright side I guess, only a really rare form of it called MSA that I likely don't have due to symptoms is fatal. It's generally known as a disease you just suffer with. The neurologist office I went to that has been practicing for 15+ years has seen 7 cases of it they said and one is my mom and another is my aunt. They have garbage quality of life and both wish for death. I feel like I can't talk to my mom about it cause she feels guilty about having kids in the first place with how sick she is. I'm breaking down crying in my room right now and I hope she can't hear it. I should probably be happy it's not worse but theres still so much I want to do that I don't think I'll be able to anymore. I guess theres still some hope that'll be reversible or at least manageable.

Yeah I'm feeling a lot better now at least. Guess the thought that it'd turn out like this was always in the back of my mind since I've been a kid. It's also still too early to be sure about any of this. I've had several doctors be pretty sure up to now only to end up being wrong and even if it's not I might have a milder case of it that isn't too bad.

Been watching someone play AI:Somnuim files and damn is it a fun mystery. I'm still not to the end of every route but I'm pretty sure I have it mostly figured out. The theorycrafting it has me doing reminds me of watching higurashi years ago.

Man I have been wracking my brain over AI:Somnium files. The lets play I'm watching of it is near the end and I feel like I'm so close but I can't quite find a solution that fits. I wish I had someone in person to discuss it with and bounce ideas off of. It's amazingly well crafted to be canceling out every theory I come up with. I know I'm partially right about the first Cyclops killings but the new ones leave ma at a loss for motive. I'm so tempted to just look it up but I'm going to refrain if I can manage.

Legit just been thinking and thinking and thinking about it for like 6 hours straight.

Started reading Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku recently. Also learned it has an anime, which I might tackle later. The one criticism (well, the *main* criticism) I have for the series is how disjointed the storytelling is, because things will end right when they're getting good. Or, in the case of the amusement park story, it was broken up and other chapters were between the parts for some bizarre reason.

Otherwise it's kind of a middling slice of life with a romance theme.

I finished AI:Somnium files. As I grew to fear, the solution to the mystery was very unsatisfying. It's a real shame too because the actual mystery as well as the characters were very interesting. The somniums were also a very cool storytelling device.

Here's whats wrong with the ending. Hitomi and Renju both know Saito killed Manaka. They know what he looks like, who he is, and they hate him. He is the object of their revenge. Somehow though, they don't recognize that Date is Saito (bodywise). This is a giant plot hole. Neither of them knew about Psyncing either as evidenced by Hitomi still visiting #89 who wasn't even the person she thought it was. This right here is plot ruining, however, theres more, much more.

Hitomi's plan to blackmail So doesn't make sense because Renju is also rich. Renju almost certainly would have paid for the treatment. Theres no way that it was too expensive with how many armed guards he can afford to hire. She also had a terrible plan. By bringing So to the actual body, she gives him an easy chance to dispose of it and as mentioned in the ending, he didn't even really commit a crime. Saito who is missing did and he had the leverage to have it covered it up. Would have never worked. But wait, the worst is yet to come.

Boss and Pewter both know that Saito is in Rohan's body. The second Rohan dies, they should be suspicious. As soon as Shoko shows up missing an eye, that should all but confirm their suspicions. Saito using the prototype should have been the primary suspect from the beginning. You would have to be so freaking stupid to not piece that together, especially as detectives.

While they gloss over just how stupid Saito's plan actually is, it's pretty dumb. He does all this to make Date suffer? He didn't even know Iris before the investigation, he didn't really give a shit about Shoko. In fact, he had no idea about Aiba dosing him so he should have assumed that Date was a sociopath and thus cared for no one. Ultimately Saito want's his body back so why not just do that first? You could swap with him easy and then use that to lure out all the people he cares about and kill them 1 by 1 in front of Date. Better revenge, more joy from the killings. Date isn't a hard guy to get to either since Shoko had access already.

The only person who really suffered from the murders was Mizuki. The plan targets her way more than Date.

Boss also behaves strangely. She easily tells Yagyu about the top secret sync machine and body swapping and keeps his murders a secret but then for some reason won't tell Date because of orders. Where the hell was that sense of duty earlier in the story?

Theres also a few things that aren't quite plot holes but are dumb. How has no one pieced together that the Psync machine grants immortality? You can just keep transferring to a younger host and never die. Thats huge! Additionally, that could be used to save Iris by swapping her to another body. Also, the wadjet system generates real consciousness, theres no reason you couldn't implant Aiba in a human body using the Psync machine. Not really important but that concept would have been way cooler than what they did.

Basically the whole story is an idiot plot. A plot that only works if all the characters are unreasonably stupid. If the voice acting, humor, and somnuims weren't so cool, I'd be pretty pissed.

Oh and one of the characters had the same symptoms I have and then died of a brain tumor. Kinda spooky.

I'm almost at the end of Ryza and I'm kinda pissed that 50 is max level. I hit that with plenty of game left to go.

I also truly do not understand the level of the bottle worlds. They just seem to randomly up every now and then. I had 4 bottles, and the highest world I could make was like 26. Then, later, without getting any bottles or anything, the same mats now give me level 33 worlds.

I've already taken down the elementals which were surprisingly easy. Get to tactics 5, use the item buff move, spam flame bottles with AP. I could probably make a better item to spam but it did the trick. Already using the best weapons and armor. I love how you can go through the sage cloak into the final armor but keep the second effect of Sage cloak which boosts item damage so Ryza can do lots of item damage.

Makes me suspect that Gust and friends might do a Plus edition with more content. Plenty of precedent for that in this series.

Was the same with Sophie, and there were a couple recipes that were beyond that.

Honestly I think it's fine for the first protagonist of a trilogy, from the perspective of the story. They haven't hit their peak yet, by far. Ryza has done some amazing things, but she's still only at the start of her journey.

Started reading Again!! (which iirc popped up as a featured thing at the end of the last volume of Wotakoi; as in part of the volume itself), which I at first assumed would be a slice-of-life with a supernatural twist. Instead, a few chapters in it seems like it might wind up being a harem manga with a supernatural twist >_>

I need to catch up on Again!!; it stopped getting scans for several years. But it's really good, and even has an English release. To my recollection it never comes close to being a harem; there are a bunch of girls but no actual romantic entanglement with the protagonist (besides maybe the main girl).

I also recommend Moteki by the same author; it's got a similar feel (pathetic guy trying to improve himself and his social life), but with no supernatural elements. It's refreshing in that the harem premise is a facade and it's not about teenagers. It's got great characters and a good feel; the only problem is that I've heard it goes in strange places in the second half (I haven't finished it yet).

I THINK what happens is that the level is based on your alchemist level. So it's basically ingredient level * alchemist level / some amount.

I don't specifically know how to get infinite gems but it doesn't take very long to just gather 100k worth of mats. Maybe 5 minutes. I typically just reduce a few hundred of my lowest quality items. I'm pretty bummed how small the container is. It needs to be like 5x bigger.

I guess you could use the multiplier to clone a bunch of high level mats like goldeterion and then go into it's world and reduce the stuff you get but that seems like more work than just taking an axe to pylnor tower.

I doubt it'll finish in the 3rd season. It's quite long. I still recommend watching it though. Sadly theres some jank CGI in it but it gets better later and then season 2 doesn't have any IIRC or maybe it's just a lot better. Also the first 15 episodes are prologue.

Method is this:

Craft a red stone with the effects (effect spread and number made up iirc), copy it, then craft a philosopher's stone with as many red stones as you can jam into it (keep 1 to copy). you can just mass put them all into the first node, the gems you get don't care about effects on the philosopher's stones.

easy alchemy level grinding and money too. come back when you can 999 quality everything and the profit skyrockets even more, but it's profitable with super low quality. at alchemy level 50 you can make like 23 at a time

I'm holding off on that one for a bit. Was annoying censoring of nothing in it. Thankfully, some of the other isekai are getting more. Re Zero and Reincarnated as a Slime are notable.

Reached the current-end of Again!! (122nd chapter, I think?), which thankfully isn't a major cliffhanger. Oh, plus that last chapter was confusing in the final scene. I guess a costumed Chankou bumps into Usami while running, dropping a costumed Imamaru on her. She hugs Imamaru but -- while still underneath him -- is somehow tackled by Chankou. There's a panel with just a sound effect and Chankou is flying in the next one, so I assume Usagi kicked him off. At first, I thought she had rolled with Imamaru and he went flying.

Then in the next scene, when Imamaru unmasks himself, Usami is holding a mask as well... and we saw that Chankou's mask went flying with him. So where'd that extra mask come from? >_>

Granted, it wasn't as big of a nuisance as a panel in an earlier chapter where Imamaru, who had been wearing a face mask earlier, wasn't wearing the mask in a panel when reacting to something Usami said. It made me think it was a flashback, but instead it was just a really weird continuity error.

The recommended manga after that is some isekai about a boy summoned by a dying wizard who revives the wizard as a frog and wants to get back to his world. It seems interesting, but the way it's formatted is hard to read and there are jumps that feel like content is missing.

You should add the friendzone anime (ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me?). It's pretty funny so far. A decent twist on the normal romcom harem genre. Other than that theres not a lot of great new anime this season.

TUEEE or whatever it's called is watchable but nothing special. Mid tier isekai with a few genuinely hilarious moments.

One of the bad things about manga, as opposed to anime, is that fan translations of a manga can be and frequently are dropped at any time. That doesn't really happen with anime unless it's a long runner, in which case it's highly likely to be picked up by someone else. But if you're reading some random obscure manga and it hasn't been updated since 2015, that's the end of that.

I have so many favorite series that I'll never get to finish..

Also I noticed a few good sports anime on NF and I was thinking that it's kinda weird that I'm interested in watching anime about sports where I would never watch the sport itself... but I guess it's not so much the sport but everything else that appeals to me. Kinda like I enjoyed The League for a while despite hating football.

In some ways it's sorta like kaguya-sama but instead of innocent mind battles it's more like a double crossing spy plot and also not quite as good. If the show has a weakness it's that things tend to be a little overdramatic sometimes. Also I don't know how they got away with that star wars rip off music they use for the bench (which is a pretty great recurring gag).
