I still would have preferred traditional third person cutscenes. Immersion is all well and good (and I like it as much as the next guy), but if it starts to significantly impact other aspects negatively, then you need to reassess your priorities tbqh. That said, I'll reserve judgment until I experience the finished game. Devs will promise anything to sell you on something. Gameplay was always going to be first person (no idea why people hope/expect anything different) but the cutscenes is a new thing. I think people were expecting them to handle it like Deus Ex did with third person cutscenes and conversations.
