I've never had extreme pain from cancer, so I can't speak to pain relief on cancer, but I think I would rather have good real painkillers instead of THC.

Part of it is for the appetite; pain meds dont help with that.

But as another user said, if smoke is a health hazard in a hospital, for other patients' safety, I'd say the cops looking for it just in case he does have it and decides to toke up later isn't immoral, it's responsible.

Of course it wasn't, because everyone's immediate reaction is to get belligerent as fuck and throw a fit once a cop shows up. If the dude has nothing to hide, they'll come and go in a matter of minutes. If you want someone to blame, blame the person who called them.
