Poll of the Day > After studying Jordan Peterson for a few weeks I have come to a conclusion.

I'm shocked so many people fall for his shit lmao, his arguments really never have much real substance to them.

To put it in the most simple argumentative terms:

He always hits strong with a punch of pathos. He makes the listener feel good about themselves, and more likely to be receptive to what he says. Not shocking seeing as how his fanbase seems to be "sadboys".

He backs up his claim with psychology based logos. He has a background in psychology and he equates the philosophical issues he speaks about to psychological concepts.

Meanwhile, he tries to pass himself off as a philosopher and acts like all people and communities have the same opportunities as each other, acting as though everything bad people experience is simply just "psychological blockers" and how you just need to "grind" for what you want.

Most of his points are stupid and he lacks ethos as a philosopher and his stupidity in trying to pass himself off as one makes me question his psychological ethos.

I know a guy who seriously idolizes him and buys all his self help books (that's basically what they are) and it's annoying as fuck. He's always preaching about how to be a man and regurgitating Jordan Peterson shit and I'm just like, "dude you're idolizing another man and attempting to live how he tells you to live." That's like the least fucking alpha thing in the world

The biggest thing I know about him: people who think he's a god are just as annoying as those he triggers.

Regarding his "clean your room" message, I wonder if he just means this: Before going out to advocate for societal changes, try cleaning your room. If you find it hard to clean your room---which it is if you try to do a good job of it---be aware that changing society will be a lot harder, so don't get too upset if your efforts to do so don't come to much.

If he really means it's immoral to try to change society while your room isn't clean, I think he's gone too far.

So if I attended UofT and started gluing all of the doors shut of various liberal, SJW professors that I didnt like, that would be hilarious too, right? And Im sure Id find plenty of those sad excuses for professors all over campus; dare I say, MOST of the goofy professors Id encounter in a University located in Toronto would probably fit the description of being low-life, SJW cretins. So it seems to me that Id have a lot of gluing to do. Hilarious!

Jordan Peterson is a snake oil salesman. He's a boomer who is trying to lure young men into taking up traditional values (Christianity) so that Christianity can rule the minds of another generation. It's a good thing that it largely didn't work and we are seeing the lowest religiosity rates for people in the US since its founding.

The definition of being a man is being the man you want to be - not the man that someone is telling you to be. Traditional values are just one path, and a pretty shitty path if you don't agree with the concept of the atomic family.
