I really REALLY love looters, whether it's Borderlands (shooter) or Diablo (ARPG) or somewhere in between, I love messing around with builds, upgrading my gear and facing harder challenges.

A close second would be Roguelike/lite. I can spend hours in games like The Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon and Dead Cells. Again, love messing around with builds. But every run is unique, different rooms, weapons, etc.

Those two are by far my favourite genres bar none.

Hard to say but if you looked through my library youd swear its fighting but it aint lol. Fighters are just my go to games when im drunk because I wont have to keep up with a story and its east to pick up or put down at any point.

JRPG's. I love the classics. WRPG's are okay too but I typically prefer the stronger and more focused narrative of the JRPG.

Depending on my mood all of the above. The kind of games that drag me in the most are the open world action-adventure games though, love just exploring the world and finding every possible thing in them.

I will say the one genre I can never get into are pretty much anything MMO (MMORPG, MOBA, Battle Royal, etc.), I can maybe do small multiplayer games of up to 8 people if I am with the right group but nothing MMO.

The RPG elements definitely make the sub-genre. A Metroidvania without the RPG elements is just a Metroid-clone.

I love them but these days I can't play them much. Practically 13 hour work days see to that and i like to drink on my off days and i dont play rpgs while drunk.

If I had to choose one, I'd say action adventure. I do enjoy most other genres except for RTS since I'm pretty shit at them.
