1600 is almost 3/5th of its work force from what I have heard. That is alot.
High estimates i have heard are 4/5th of the work force.

Yup, I actually agree in the opposite direction 'cuz I thought they were a much much bigger company, where 1600 would be less of an impact

That does seem to mesh with my initial suspicion. 1600/3000 would be just over 50%, a convenient number

Im a conductor for Norfolk Southern that got laid off a few months ago. Took a job as a security manager for a marijuana dispensary and I dont think Ill go back.

My buddy is a conductor for CN in Minnesota and he said it looks like he wont have enough seniority to avoid a furlough.
