Most characters in Chrono Cross have a verbal "tic" they tack on randomly to give them a shallow appearance of a unique personality. Korcha usually tacks on a meaningless "CHA" to the ends of his sentences, for instance.

Re: Towa (Ao no Kiseki Spoilers): Towa mentions her parents died in an airship crash on their way back from Crossbell. I'm pretty sure the implication is that was part of the Erebonia/Calvard shadow cold war over Crossbell. In fact, I'd have to try and work out the timeline but I wonder if it was actually the same airship crash that killed Grimwood's family.)

Part of me wonders if Osborne actually shot the Emperor because it blacks out right before Ash pulls the trigger because they have to fulfill the "prophecy" somehow and Osborne is intent on making it happen no matter what he has to do. Feels very Tales of the Abyss-esque, honestly. Maybe Ash passed out from the pressure of trying to resist the moment or something, I dunno.

And I imagine they'll eventually have to explain how people who are or were presumed dead at some point can still be alive, even without a heart, it seems.

So I guess this Phantasmal Blaze Plan is meant to awaken the Great One so they can obtain the two Sept-Terrions that formed it or something? I guess I should have assumed this would come back to the Sept-Terrions somehow since that's been the goal of Ouroboros from the start.

well that was a thing that happened

holy hell that was one of the most emotionally intense endgames i've played. Final Dungeon was basically the Infernal Castle done right with the dwindling party. Boss fights were lolz because this game is broken as all hell. Thing the only damage I took in any boss fight was Alisa getting hit by Sharon once because Sharon is da real MVP. Hell the Dark Holy Beast didn't even get a turn when I fought it on foot. The cutscenes were good though.

supreme dick move on Alberich's part with the Courageous. on literally every conceivable level. from snapping at george when he called him for interrupting his monologue. to literally going to the trouble of having the camera out there showing this was planned to just traumatize class vii, to just doing olivier, victor, and toval like that. Man even Campanella and Shirley were like "bro that was a bit much"

Also Altina =(. Goes from almost getting choked to death by Cedric, regaining consciousness with the intent to die in a different way, to having Millium die right in front of her for her. also i'd say "rean you had one job" but that final battle with Ogre+ Rean and Valimar was maybe the best application of that kind of battle I've seen. Certainly way up there. Damn that was intense.

not even entirely sure why New Class VII was even trying to talk Rean out of moving on to Osborne and Alberich next tbqh. Also lmaoooooooooooo falcom with that hard cut cliffhanger.

On to some more serious analysis here... I'm still not entirely sure what Millium/Claire/Lechter's deal was with this. Those 3 were like... pretty clearly... on the side of Class VII here but fought us anyway. They reference a "truth" that had them sticking with Osborne for this but uhhh... the only thing off-hand I can think of was they were told it was Millium or Altina but that doesn't make sense for Millium to go for, nor does it explain moments like Lechter imploring them to save Altina after they lost. guess it could just be CS4 content but yeah.

Also Musse clearly had her secret dealings with Aurelia and Vita throughout the game but how the hell did she predict any of this ****? who the hell is she that she could even get kinda close? Unless Aurelia was just exaggerating and it was like a "Okay, big picture stuff here - Osborne is gonna teamup with Ouroboros again and do some stuff to leave Heimdallr open so be ready to raid it for Ash and the Pantagruel to restart the #Resistance." But I feel like we're supposed to believe that no, she actually somehow knew about the Great Twilight plan. But hey Aurelia/Vita teamup sounds nuts so that could be amazing in CS4. And with the Pantagruel and Ash it'll be even more fun.

Ugh probably so much more to talk about because aaaaaaaaaa so much stuff but I see the character limit and yeah.

Not totally sure CS3 beats out 3rd for me, but 3rd is in all likelihood my #1 game of all time so the fact that I feel like I have to think about it, and will still keep thinking about it after this, says a lot. Definitely in the top tier of Trails games IMO with 3rd and SC.

As for Musse, considering she is teaming up with Vita it wouldn't surprise me at all if she knew some specifics of the Great Twilight itself already simply by asking Vita about it. That being said I don't think her "predictions" were supposed to be super specific anyways? I don't really know

Since I've beaten the game I can look at a guide now to maybe try to figure this out. Chapters 3 and 4, right?

Here's some possible trickier ones I think:

Chapter 3

Playing Rutger in Vantage Masters. Playing against him with your own deck is the ideal choice. +3 for winning with your own deck, only +1 if you keep using the one he loans you.

In Ordis Day 2 when you're inspecting the ships. After you talk to the jerk with a huge boat, if you talk to some dock workers nearby they mention that the ship is in a different size class than the guy told you. Reporting that to the quest giver gives you +2

Chapter 4

Heimdallr Day 1 investigating all the optional points is +3.
Placing the correct bet (Lino Bloom) in the Horse Race is +1
The quest that has you going around Vainquerer Street measuring Orbal Waves, once you've done that enough a cutscene plays where Class VII is like "looks like we got everywhere" a truck pulls up behind you in the cutscene. If you scan the back of the truck it's another hit. Leads to +2

Ah, that would make some sense for Millium. As for Musse, maaaybe. I do think we're supposed to have the impression she was predicting events at a pretty detailed level though. Vita being her source explains a fair bit of it but =/
