Yes, they know. Suppression of climate science goes back a long way. They plan on being rich enough or dead enough to avoid real damage.

See, everyone in here reading this... whether youre a fast food worker, real estate agent, IT dude, CFO, etc., we are all at the bottom. The world is beautiful and full of possibilities. We can only go up from here, and thats nice. For us, the thought of massive species extinction and possibly global extinction is the end of the world. For those that have as much capital, power, wealth, and influence as the Fossil Fuel tycoons... the thought of waking up in a world where they are no longer at the top, and in control... for them... THAT is the end of the world. They would much rather rule over a disgusting wasteland... than to be a peasant in a beautiful world.
