Funny enough, I had less trouble getting stuff from Loverslab to work compared to stuff from Nexus.

...Or did you mean "fucking mods" in a different context?

On my most recent SE character I ended up at around 85 mods and after 100-ish hours I have had three-ish crashes but no other problem I have noticed. Used Wrye Bash and then Vortex pretty much handled the rest by itself. Didn't even need to use LOOT. Ported a sleep spell mod for use with Sacrosanct Vampires while I was at it and even that worked fine.

SE seems to be far more stable in general than Legendary. The one problem I have is that it feels like there are far fewer mods.

And then you'll make it redundant by adding a mod that makes torches or mage light stronger.

The longest part of the modding process tends to be actually finding and downloading everything. Tinkering and fiddling with load order and patches taking hours for a single mod list is generally well into PEBKAC territory. I wasn't playing Skyrim back in 2011 so I do not know how much things have changed since then, but my most recent time has easily been the least problematic. Nearly all of the problems I encountered were automatically detected and required clicking the mouse a couple of times to solve. Even porting that simple mod to SE proved to be fast and painless without previous creation kit experience.

Yeah, most mod downloaders do the work for you these days. Putting them in the right order is simple and does generally not take long as the few you have to manually set in a specific place are easily clicked or dragged so in a few minutes unless you're going into the hundreds of mods.

What kind of mods are you downloading? Most of the known ones will tell you if they have to be lower than something, or your mod downloader will do it for you usually. Which one are you using?
