He had at least one short adventure on Tatooine. The disney marvel comics had a mini series of Obi Wan helping out some people in trouble with Jabba I think, like 5 years ago. I remember reading it.

I probably wouldn't care about this show if Deborah Chow hadn't proven her writing chops on The Mandalorian. Also helps that McGregor hamming it up is one of the saving graces of the PT.

He wanted to keep a low profile but Disney has bigger plans for him. Hes going to be in a lot of action & adventure. The Disney+ money must flow.

Every day, Obi Wan would hide near a rocky outcrop, and intently watch the moisture farm with binoculars. He did this from dawn to dusk. Season 1 was supposed to end with Owen Lars catching a glimpse, then going to investigate. Cliffhanger!

You're kind of right, but the PT did more than just tell Anakin's story. It showed us what the galaxy was like before the empire, and how all of that changed and turned into the galaxy we knew from the OT.

Also at least in the EU, it used to be a lush world and possibly the origin world of humans I think. A nuclear war of sorts destroyed the planets environment

Yes. I think it's already been greenlit for production too but I might be wrong about that. I didn't hate his character from R1 or anything but, like, there is literally no good reason to have a whole show about him. It's incredibly frustrating that Disney is wasting their time and resources on awful decisions like this. At this rate I'm not sure if they'll ever be able to take Star Wars out of the OT and into a new time and give us some truly new and interesting stuff.

At the end of season 2 Obi-Wan is having breakfast with the Lars and a toddler Luke. A group of thugs & their leader shows up. The leader says he knows that Obi-Wan was a former Jedi and is gonna take him to the Empire for a reward and/or to clear his name.

Theres a shootout at the Lars Homestead.

Aunt Beru takes little Luke and hides. One of the bad guys finds them hiding, he raises his blaster, Aunt Beru shields Luke & closes her eyes, the camera stays on her face while we hear a blaster fire and a thud. She opens her eyes and sees that Uncle Owen shot the thug.

Obi-Wan says he needs to chase down the leader who sped off before he informs the Empire. After that gets resolved he comes back to the farm and the two tell him that they want nothing to do with him and to keep his distance.

The episode ends with Obi-Wan at the top of a hill, looking sadly at the farm. He speeds off towards & past the camera and the last shot is the twin sunsets. Then comes the black screen, end credits and a dramatic score.

One way or another were gonna see that ****ing farm again.

I feel like while Disney might be enjoying the trajillions they've made off the Star Wars license, they will soon if not already start feeling deep regrets on how they mishandled the property to the point of cause a severe loss of interest, killing off a much higher profit margin they could have made for themselves by keeping it alive for decades on end.

I doubt they're gonna cancel this. It's probably the main thing outside the second season of Mandalorian people are looking forward to. I have no idea why they're doing a Cassian Andors prequel series. Seems the biggest waste of resources. I would really prefer Jyn if anything, but I'm guessing Felicity Jones likely declined.

They definitely felt it after Solo. Seems like The Mandalorian was the first thing they could really shift after Solo and it turned out pretty good.

But yeah, honestly, they had A LOT of missed potential. I mean, 8 and 9 combined made 300M+ more than 7. While the MCU went the other way.

I'd love for a live action version of the Maul vs Obi-Wan fight, but IIRC it takes place the night before ANH starts so having him not look exactly like Alec Guinness would be kind of weird.

Maybe there's a bit of a time skip but he kills Maul at night and then it fades into day and he's riding one of those dinosaur things looking across the desert at Like being called by Beru. It's been awhile since I watched it but to me it seemed like it took place right after the fight

Edit: watched it again, and yeah it's probably another time she's calling Luke's name but they used the sound file from ANH. It looks like early morning and that part clearly was in mid day when the Jawas were there.
