Any pros/cons associated with this? I genuinely use TV more for background noise when I work remotely than watch, plus I have an abundance of Blue Rays and use Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu etc.

I've heard lots of good things about the Roku, plus I'm tired of paying close to $200 monthly for my current contract for what TV options I get now (1 DVR and streaming through their app) for equivalent to what I can get otherwise for FREE.

Discuss amongst yourselves...

Dropped Directv/ATT a year and a half ago and have been 100% on Roku. No regrets.

If you already have all the streaming options, why do you even have cable bro, especially for $200.

Also, what about YouTube tv?

my current contract
Probably should've mention it's a triple bundle with a landline I never bothered with and good internet, but the price is still as high as a kite.

Considered it, but as mentioned, why pay $50/month when I can almost everything I need with a Roku plus streaming, with what I'm missing I can easily replace or live without?

Can't say I blame you; ATT sucks and always has, and I will never go back to them; hell I refuse to use their MVNO's and other affiliated companies.

Imagine having cable in 2020. The flipping through stations randomly is the only thing I miss.

I don't really know what Roku is, it's like a chromecast? It should be fine. Or you could just get a smart tv.

How quaint.
