The problem with scorched earth policies like this is that innocent people will be caught up in it. Homeless folks, disabled people and impoverished Americans will bear the brunt of this.

For the sake of an overblown scare campaign, thousands of Americans are going to get fucked over by this. I still can't believe that there are living, breathing morons who voted for this sack of shit.

Const., Article V, 13. That local law enforcement may enter into cooperative agreements with Federal enforcement agencies in no way abrogates their obligation to enforce state law. The federal government may not compel state law enforcement agents to enforce federal regulations.

Fair enough, but you would still think that the conservatives would care enough about their "Make America Great", "America First" rhetoric to care when policies like this stand to affect thousands of innocent American lives. The poor, homeless and disabled are all still American, and you'd think a part of making America great would be to elevate these Americans to a position of security instead of disproportionately targeting them and making their lives worse, either directly or through snap decisions that indirectly stand to ruin their lives further.

I guess it's the same sort of deal that has conservatives crying "freedom of religion!" before telling Muslim and Jewish people that "this is America and we don't have to cater to your fruitcake beliefs". God, conservatives are shitty.
