I really loved this series and I'm so glad it ended with a S2 announcement. I mean, yeah, it's early access, but they've been making that game since 2009 and it was "almost ready" like 5 years ago. YoukaiSlayer 03/31/20 2:37:11 PM #111:	Mount and blade is a one of a kind game that I recommend everyone at least try. It's sorta like a medieval mercenary captain simulator game with fun combat. However, if you don't have the newly released bannerlord, do yourself a massive favor and download the prophesy of pendor mod for warband. It's basically the sequel to the game. It's SO much better than base warband. It's a total conversion with better balancing, more shit to do, battle continuation, better lore, better gear, better kingdoms, vastly vastly better enemies and a ton of neat features like custuom knighthood orders and legendary spawns. Easily the best mod for any game I've ever seen. It's also somehow MORE stable than the base game. I played bannerlord for about an hour earlier. The performance leaves something to be desired but the gameplay has been pretty fun. The same tricks I got used to using in warband don't work nearly as well. If I ride into a group of looters with a one handed weapon and swerve right as I swing, they actually just hit me now and I die. Gotta say, it was nice to see more of the crimson demons and the focus on best girl (megumin) was appreciated. The way it uses subtle moments to impart so much of the characters is something I wish almost every anime would do. I mean right in the first episode when you see kani showering with that just dead look on her face in the few minutes she is alone before she puts her smile back on to go keep getting rejected by main dude. You can just feel exactly how these characters feel so quickly. It manages to say some pretty real stuff about life in just the first two episodes and the contrast between the "anime" moments that take most of the screen time and the few "real" moments that slip out for a few seconds is just such a wonderful dynamic. It kind of reminds me of what they do in .hack//sign with the black and white out of game moments you see a couple times during the series. Letting the viewer get a brief but powerful look behind the mask a show's characters put on in is just crack for me and I wish more anime did it. Also I really like the ED. Because oh boy, sometimes, the animation quality wasn't just substandard, but horribly jarring. And, it was happening for pivotal moments/scenes.
