Mostly happy with that. Annoyed I have two pigs though. I'd love to get Apollo and trade him for Boris. And if I get an even slightly cool smug species show up, Curlos is out. Still on the fence about Aurora.

so traits arent in the game itself? It's a fan-made classification of animals who like sports/working out, animals who act snooty, etc? Or are they a hidden value? Like is "sisterly" an official term?

I think the names of traits have been made up by fans, but the traits themselves are coded in the game and affect things like the time villagers wake up, go to sleep, etc.

Looks like everyone here likes to get a variety of animal species. I've seen some players who actually try to get as many as they can of a certain species (usually mice, cats, or squirrels). I guess I can understand that, but it takes away some of the charm to me.

Yeah, and there can be other things too. Like in New Leaf, certain PWPs could only be suggested by specific personality types. I'm wondering if it's possible it's the same in New Horizons with what recipes you can get from your animals, or anything else similar.

Finally unlocked terraforming/paving!!

For people who have paved, how do you feel about official paving vs. using custom designs? I've already done up a decent amount of my town with custom stone and brick pathways, but I might redo them with the official paving options.

I was tempted to make my island 100% birds (including eagles, ducks, etc. not just the generic bird species), but im too attached to a cat I have on my island to actually go for it at this point.

Some good choices. I definitely want to get Kid Cat and Agent S since they're my favorite villagers. Agent S was the only villager I ever did a paid trade to get, just so they could be neighbors in my New Leaf town. Since I have Big Top I could try to get him too to make a set, but I don't really like any of the "numbered" villagers outside of the first two. I might want to try Olivia since she was one of my first villagers all the way back in the Gamecube game. Tia also just looks amazing, I've never had her before.

Probably. Regular trees have features that fruit trees don't. Do you even have cherry blossoms right now?

yeah fruit is a pretty lousy way to make money.

money trees alone produce as much cash as 40-50 foreign fruit trees with 1/10th the effort

Well for perfect fruit the real strat is to have zero foreign fruit trees and all native, right? It seems like only native trees make perfect fruit anyways and you have to trade for the rest.

My hope is that Leif's return in the Earth Day update will trigger him to be a traveling NPC going forward, bringing with him the cut fruits and bushes from New Leaf. Then eventually he'll be absorbed into Nook's like before.

I know not to get my hopes up too high though.
