TWD/LiS are more of a point-and-click genre by our usual labels, but I don't think people play them for their puzzles so much as they do for exploring difficult decisions. Limited rewind abilities? So-and-so will remember your choice. And yeah, to your point, how often do you see choices like "You won the lottery -- would you like to donate a portion to Meals on Wheels or Toys for Tots?"
