Today has been so weird. CAR was up 11% in the first half hour, then lost all its gains in the span of half an hour and touched red area very briefly. Now it's up 11% again.

What the fuck was yesterday
NVDA was down like 8% but finished -2%
That was a insanse stock market crash that reminded me of the early March days
And then everything went back to normal

Banks are up again. Glad to see it but starting to make me regret selling. I had to though, I was down way too big far way too long.

Banks are so safe, I'm a bit confused why you sold and didn't rebuy after they took their little dip.

Like, he could announce new tariffs, travel bans, sanctions etc. which would cause China to announce reciprocal tariffs, bans, etc. which would cause the stock market to fall.

Yes, but that doesnt mean they will go up everyday from yesterdays price. As evidenced by their price today.

I decided to stay in CAR for now. I'll probably sell if it gets to $30 but I think it's still a good value even at $22. When I bought at $11 I was looking for it to rise to $30+ but didn't expect it to break $20 within 2 weeks.

Bought some F today. I think people are going to need cars more going forward, as living in cities and using public transportation has proven to be quite dangerous for health and increasingly unnecessary for work.

Did you sell yesterday? It went down a decent amount today.

Nope. I probably should have sold some to even out the portfolio allocation (since CAR doubled from when I bought it, it had become 2x what it was originally as a percentage of my portfolio).

But I'm not too concerned, a down day is expected after it ran up 100% in 2 weeks. Unless Trump embargoes China or something tomorrow, then I'll really regret not selling everything yesterday.

Man I'm too new to this stuff and one red day freaks me out. ERI finally had a red day after a few in a row in the green (which started right after I bought so I'd been feeling great) and I immediately want to sell. Read up some on momentum investing though, since it seems to be highly rated by momentum investors, so I should probably just ignore these little red days right? I have like a quarter of my savings in ERI right now so it's unnerving. But like, it's gonna hit the 40s soon and I'll kick myself for selling, right? Someone tell me I'm right.

They valuated their own shares at $10 a bit before opening, which was quickly trading for over $15 when they went public on April 24th.

Anyone invested in any 5g stocks? Ericsson is a tempting cheap stock to buy an unholy amount of (currently at 8.96). Literally never gone above 10 in the last year but supposedly 5g could be a breakthrough for them.

I sold my CAR shares today. It made up most of yesterday's decline so I closed the trade at +93%. I feel spooked by this China press conference and the fact that the Dow is only 4,000 or so below the all-time high.

Well I panic sold ERI at around 34. Too damn volatile and this press conference freaks me out. If it dips below 30 soon I'll probably buy again. Really wish I sold yesterday when it hit target price but I've been doing this less than a month so I'm learning as I go! Just happy to make a few hundred from it.

Well I sold all my stocks other than LK. Have bad vibes about how strong the market has been the last 2 months and this press conference.

I have a little over $1,000 in value in LK based on the current share price right now, so will let it ride. I think it's more likely than not to fall but the potential gain is so enticing. Who knows - maybe Trump will start a trade war and get Starbucks kicked out of China.

Same here red. Feels bad. It looked like Eldorado was in free fall mode when I sold it and pulled right back up and now I'm hitting myself. Today turned into a green day for it. Man I need some sort of rule to not check a stock for a certain amount of time after selling....but, I'd never be able to follow it.

It's likely going to be deslisted which I assume means they're going to be worthless to the average person.

Consider PFE. It is a historically strong and consistent stock. Dropped a lot today due to some issue with breast cancer treatment. Should correct or go up by the end of the month.

It's a Chinese coffee chain that just had its IPO last year. They admitted that a lot of their revenue numbers were fraudulent. Right now, it's not clear what the real financials are. It's not clear if the company still has the $1 billion+ in cash it raised from investors or if the executives were able to steal it. It's not clear if the business model is viable or if it was just designed to turn a quick buck for the founders by defrauding investors.

I think it's a worthwhile bet because if it's anything other than the worst case scenario, the stock is clearly worth more than $2 per share. Just the cash they raised from the IPO and subsequent offering alone is worth like $5 a share or so, and you gotta figure the thousands of locations they have in China, the brand, the data on millions of customers, etc. should be worth something.
