Game derives from Old English 'gamen' which means 'game' or alternatively 'joy, amusement'. Thus, it can be concluded that to be properly considered a video game, one has to see it and experience a measure of joy. A hamburger is therefore a classic American video game, while the vast majority of items in a steam library, are not.
