Honestly plum, I couldn't tell you. The only reads I have are town for Abacus, Han and Lea and scum for scept. So scum could be anybody else not me or that list. I was thinking scept was a hammer role but with a bomb defuser bomb placement has to be a night action I think

There can be target bombs which bomb a choice of a target upon a person being lynched (who was voting him). A bomb that blows up the last person. Etc.

oh i wasn't particularly clear about my confusion there. I was specifically confused by him saying "maybe mzero" in response to my comment asking about a potential third mafia role. would vanilla mafia be something that's common in board 8 mafia at all?

and what can I really say other than it doesn't take too long to pick up most social deduction games, I think. I will say I probably would not have *explicitly* outed the Cop on day 1 if I was familiar with the meta then. Although ironically the person trying most to obscure that knowledge was Scare.

And that is very helpful. So essentially the rules could be anything at this point - though the existence of a bomb defuser who can defuse at night would imply that the bombs are intentionally placed at night beforehand, which also perfectly fits the flavor of Yoshikage Kira ("Killer Queen has already touched that doorknob").

The basic rules are.

1. The host cannot lie to you. (Thus, the person can't be other than what the Host says they are).
2. Town cannot be punished for lynching Scum correctly or the game is bastard (thus, if scum is tossing bombs on people, they cannot toss bombs on their own team to blow up town if we lynch scum). This also works in very other many ways.
3. Scum cannot take control of the lynch in a way that assures Town will be lynched.

Those are the ones basically off the top of my head. But, what it also means is that any number of imaginative roles CAN exist as long as they follow those rules. If they don't follow those rules, the game has to be labeled as experimental or the whole game is bastard.

4 scum total seems too weak. Then again the bomblayer is extra killingpower, and it could be an independent bomblayer like Corrik was 2 games ago.

I am also worried because I have seen this 'scum only has 1 roleblock per game' setup before. And they had a redirection power to compensate for it. The same kind of role Corrik is claiming now.

Yeah, sceptile claimed scum. He really should have tried to play it off better as an accidental lynch but him being fully aware he was the hammer by posting the stop means he is 100% scum.

Damion is like 97% scum. There is a universe where he could be town. Its extremely unlikely and not even worth discussing except we have someone who basically posted Im scum lol

isnt it more likely that sceptile is a bomber if corrik is telling the truth? If Sceptile was redirected into Lea last night and she wasnt notified about anything happening to her, doesnt it make more likely that he secretly stuck a bomb to her?

Good morning, Lea.

We're at a point where we have two days worth of lynches set. I would honestly rather lynch Damion because that at least forces the Cop's scan to be tested, and Sceptile has claimed Scum and won't argue out of it or anything.

The one hesitation is that if Corrik is telling the truth, then we might see Lea explode at eod and that makes me sad and also probably condemns me the following day. Sooooo...

For what it's worth, it is unlikely Scum has both normal kills and bombs, so a third party bomber is more likely. And Sceptile is not third party.

Does a scanned 3rd party bomber scan as scum? I'm only familiar with Town of Salem where Serial Killer scans guilty/suspicious but arsonist (which seems more closely related to a bomber) scans innocent. Is that information known? I'm trying to look on the mafiascum wiki but I can't even find a "serial bomber" role on there
