Mew came to mind first. Then Charmander. It could very well be Blastoise, though. Also, when I think about it, Raichu could be pretty strong, too.

Pikachu was right up there with Crono and Mega Man in strength. Charizard and Mewtwo both were busts. Squirtle didn't make it, but he actually looked good in his first few matches before 2013 went off the rails, so I don't think we would've seen Squirtle decline quite that hard. So give me the starters in their early forms. Also why I think Eevee is probably strongest Gen 1 Pokemon evolution line not represented. --- Agent Triple Zero at your service!
