obviously any given region can have dozens+ accents, but generally, which one do you find silliest? i have some weird mix of new york and long island, which made me feel kinda dumb when I lived in Texas. NY accents can sound so stupid and everyone there thought most of my pronunciations were a riot
that being said, boston accent is the correct answer but i wanna hear what you guys think --- Also Hairistotle ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't count since I'm from the US from Baltimore but can confirm that's how we talk in both the city and county. They didn't even get into "water" and "on." <3
Personally, I don't like the northern Atlantic coastal accents very much b Wow, okay, just finished reading your OP and apparently I agree. Whoopsiedoodle. The 'every vowel is an ah' thing the PNW does is pretty tiring, too. Boston and Worcester can be pretty janky.
But the Southern Accent you might find say, calling a Nascar race almost seems like 'a put on' level of silliness. I can handle a New York City/Long Island accent. Though when I hear one, if the person seems okay, I always ask them if they are from, like, Arkansas, just to see what reaction I get. ~True story. --- "Whatever the reason you're on Mars, I'm glad you're there, and I wish I was with you." ~Carl Sagan. Who talks like that? I must be confused thinking PNW stands for Pacific Northwest, because I've lived in OR/WA my whole life and no one talks like that here, lol. --- PSN/GT: BigDaffej ... Should probably give a list for reference, tc. The NE corridor alone has quite a few distinct ones

No, it's because people don't say every vowel as "ah" here.I lived there four and a half years. I heard it. Trust me. It's also documented in linguistics papers about regional accents. "Every vowel" was a loose hyperbole, but no, I promise, there is more vowel raising and fronting than you recognize. VanananaHeyHey posted... CE's official linguist --- Please, call me Vanai.
