Hey CE, Im lm buying a new phone today and could use some opinions. I currently have an iPhone 8+ and Im looking to up grade to a XR, 11 or Galaxy S10. I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with any of these phones? I was leaning toward the s10 because I can get it for $500 when its regular price is 750 and because I wanted to try something new. However, I have heard that the s10 will slow down like crazy after 6 months of ownership which has me rethinking my purchase. Anyways, any opinions would greatly be appropriated.

I have most of the Galaxy phones. I got the S10 last March, and yeah, it has slowed down and glitching, but that's usually easily resolved by a hard reset.

I now use the S20, which is definitely much faster and smoother than the S10. Gonna hard reset once I back everything up to see how they compare side to side.

If you like iOS, you can't go wrong with the 11. That will probably last you the longest.

Thanks for the response guys. I love my iPhones, but The s10 is so damn pretty lol. I would love a s20, but cant afford it. Also did the hard reset set everything back to normal or was there still a little slow down

If it was me Id stick with iPhones

Sorry, I didn't mean to say the S10 is bad or anything. It's a beast of a phone. When I first got it, it was one of the most powerful phones I've experienced.

And yeah, a hard reset puts it right back to like when you first opened it.

The issue with showdowns are in the OS, not hardware. The only bitch is having to back everything up lol.

Honestly, if you're saving a lot with the S10. Just get that.

ok cool thanks for the info. I just want something more powerfull/faster then my 8+. Also the display on the s10 is mouth watering lol, especially because I watch a ton of movies/tv/videos on my phone

Samsung recently put out One UI 2.1 (Samsung's stock launcher) that debuted with the S20 line and it has breathed new life to an already smooth device. It basically brought the S10/Note10 line up to the level of the S20 from a software perspective (UHD/FHD 60fps for selfie camera, Quick/Music Share, updated animations, etc).

S10 slowdowns are well documented. As I've told you before, you're an extremely light user, so your personal experience means very little. Stop acting like it's the standard.
