I kinda miss those days. Just getting a batch of new demos to play that I didn't have to buy. I read the magazine a bunch too at one point, but IDK when I really stopped doing that. PC Gamer was the shit.

The demo discs you used to get with Official PlayStation Magazine back in the psx days were amazing.

To this day MTV Snowboarding is still one of my most fondly remember psx games and I never even had the full thing, just the one course on the demo disc, haha.

I heard that research showed games that released demos tended to sell worse than games that did not.

Which is why they stopped.

Really? I bought a decent number of games because of those PSX jam pack demo discs.

Halo demo disc is the GOAT

The Jet Set Radio demo on the same disc was also great

Edit: wait did I Mandela Effect myself. I can recall playing the Halo, Max Payne, and JSR demos on a disc but I'm not finding anything about it online

It was probably different back then when a demo could potentially be the way you'd find out about a game. The internet changed things there.

Yeah I didn't really have any demo disks for ps2. By the time of ps3 you could just download the demo if there was one.

I heard that too, but I've never seen any real source for it.
