Sorry I was MIA this weekend. These days I'm generally more active on weekdays. Weekends I'm usually with my girl or family or friends.

Friday my friend called me and said he made some wicked edibles. He used to be my roommate and I've had some from him before and they were always good so I was like hell yeah and I got 2, one for me and my girl each. Well when we got home we took some. And goddamn did it fuck us up (mostly me). I havent been that paranoid in a long ass time.

First off, I was pissed because I was showing my girl Always Sunny and TPB, and Hulu decided to remove like 5 episodes of Sunny so I gotta find other ways to find those episodes when they come up. So I kind of already have a "fuck Hulu" mindset going into taking these things. Well when I went to go to Hulu on my TV, apparently there was an issue with my wifi. It got to an error message which I sometimes get, but the TV had never audibly talked to me before. A fucking booming robot voice just abruptly said "LET THIS MESSAGE BE A LESSON THAT...." and I freaked the fuck out after that because who the hell programs a TV to talk like that and writes a message in that way?

Anyways after trying to connect to the wifi, it just refuses to do so. I'm getting really perplexed so I try to connect to wifi on my phone. My phone ALSO refuses to connect to my wifi. I still got my data but I was unable to get on my wifi.

I tell my girl to try to connect to it on her phone, and SHE IS ABLE TO DO SO. So my phone and TV refuse to connect but my girl's phone will. I scramble to my computer to see if I get internet. It's connected via, ethernet, not wifi, and sure enough it's still connected to the internet.

So I'm kind of freaking out, wondering if someone is controlling my personal electronics and blocking wifi or something. I start going into my phones settings and I go to the "help page" and I somehow got to the unlock my phone screen and I started reading it and the whole thing read very ominously, like you must call this number to get your phone unlocked, military personnel has expedited access to getting your phone unlocked, etc. And the entire time I'm thinking "oh shit has the government locked all our phones except the military? And we have to apply to be on the internet now? Is this some kind of new world order shit going down?"

And it was weird, because then I let my girl have my phone and told her to enter my wifi password. She enters it and it's able to connect. I said "wtf" and then I took the phone, disconnected it, then tried to connect it again, but it wouldn't accept it when I entered it. My girl was once again able to get in it.

I eventually let her try to connect my TV, and once again it worked. And so while we were watching Sunny episodes, I kind of got into a debate with her about the removal of said episodes. She agreed with me that it was censorship and shouldn't have been done but she says she also understands why it was problematic. But the weird thing that kept tripping me up was anytime I would talk, then the wifi would disconnect, then I would stop and she would say something and then it would connect again.

She was tripped out by the whole thing too because she was witnessing all the trouble it was giving me. Eventually we just turned the TV off. Partially because we got tired of the random disconnects but also because those edibles made us really horny so we banged out the rest of the night and I had a libido I never thought I was capable of. I've never taken viagra before but I imagine it must have been something like this because even after I "finished" I was still ready for more, and that went on for hours.

The next day I tried to replicate that message the TV sent me. I disconnected from wifi and tried to go into hulu. The error message was there but the TV never spoke to me. Idk if my subconscious was making all that happen but yeah it was some weird shit I've only experienced on psychedelics

The person who made it is a good friend I've known for over a decade, he wouldn't do shit like that to me. His edibles are usually pretty damn strong, I think it was just stronger than I'd bargained for and my tolerance is weaker than before. Plus I was on an empty stomach so idk, probably a lot of factors but I can pretty safely rule out that it was laced with something.

Bro the biggest reason I stopped smoking was because of shit EXACTLY like this "happening" to me, but all I had to do was think things, not even speak.

I would start to think something, and the world would suddenly change around me accordingly. Then I'd stop thinking about that, and start thinking about other things, and things would change too. Like if I thought about a burrito, a train horn would sound, then I stop the burrito thinking and the horn stops. Then I think about bagels and the wind blows. Then I think about a burrito and the train horn starts again.

All that insane shit that felt like it was connected to my thoughts just tripped the ever-living shit out of me because then I'd go down the path of "this is proof that I'm in a fucking simulation" and we've all been down that path before of course
