2 episodes in and already liking the new LL more than Sunshine (which make no mistake, I did like).

Kasumin/Kasukasu/Nega Nico best girl.

Also the first time I've felt no urge to skip the musical numbers (pretty much only watched through Snow Halation and the ones from the movie).

Such a shame so many of the good shows this season are on FUNi. Have had multiple instances this season alone of the subtitle timing getting out of sync.

Watched some episode 1's

Assault Lily: Bouquet: I'm not totally sure what's going yet except that the only thing standing between humanity and destruction is mecha-magical girls, ZR, and yuri; and I am here for it. I'm sure there's some DEEP SECRET OF THE WORLD coming in 9 episodes or so that will change everything but whatever. There's an outside chance this will end up great, but I think I'll enjoy it as a "turn your brain off" sort of show regardless. Also am a fan of the ending theme.

Tonikaku Kawai: Nothing to write home about, but it was enjoyable enough. If you're in the mood for a fluffy romcom sort of show this seems like it will scratch that itch. Definitely like the female lead so far. Truck-kun is probably upset that he had his prey snatched up from him this time around though :(

Wandering Witch: This was really good. The setting and magic system were engaging; the visuals were really cool; the battle scene was actually exciting to watch; and we've already had some great character development moments also. It is hard to know how the show will continue since episode 1 seemed like a prologue and was pretty much a self-contained story. I'm guessing this will be episodic though, and if all the episodes maintain the same quality as the first one then this is going to be a really great show.

Will be watching Adachi to Shimomura eventually which I'm very excited for, but I don't have access to episode 1 yet because I'm not a Funimation subscriber.

At this point I've watched Higurashi, Yashahime, The Day I Became a God, Adachi and Shimamura, Wandering Witch, and Jujutsu Kaisen. All pretty good and worth following, I think. Wandering Witch is maybe borderline, but I'll certainly watch the next episode. The others are for sure keeps. Not sure if I'll pick anything else up, I'll probably wait and let everything else run its course.

Adachi and Shimamura episode 1 watched. I am a big fan, but admittedly there was basically a 100% chance I would love this show. Seems like a pretty good yuri show so far though. The leads have good chemistry; there seems to be some real substance to the characters; and so far it has completely avoided all of the problematic tropes which you see in a lot of yuri anime.

That's the big charm about Nijigasaki, the focus is more on the girls individually. The anime is giving each of these girls their 4th solo song (though in Kasumi's case, it's her 5th).

Well at least from the first episode it's got me interested in checking it out, but I'm already pretty deep into Tales of Crestoria so it'll be a tough sell.

And even ignoring them being Solos, I'm just liking all these performances more in LL than prior. Maybe I'm just not into the big group songs? Snow Halation is the only one that ever grabbed me, other than the trio songs from the movie. So...3 may be my cap. Guess that's why I always dug the A-Rise stuff, lol.

They all just look better, too. The show itself looks good, if lacking some of the flair and visual character of the main series proper, but the CG has gotten a noticeable upgrade.
