Toxic tornados and lightning everywhere, with clouds so thick that light only peeks through occasionally

Most of the star systems surrounding the core have been discovered and claimed, so it's been kind of a challenge to find planets I can name and establish bases on

Honestly, I don't think a game like this could be developed by indie developers in any reasonable amount of time. I'm kind of amazed they've continued to put so much stuff into it, all for free.

Do you have a living ship?

I bought the game after seeing submersibles and the "grow your own ship" mechanic but was quickly overwhelmed by the interface and trying to keep track of all the resources and then I ran out of inventory space

The game doesn't really let you in on the fact that if you keep upgrading your exosuit and ship, you eventually don't even need resources anymore. There are solar panels and efficiency upgrades that basically make everything free.

It's great. Amazing amount of content. But fundamentally it's still a game that's more about the journey and the crafting than anything else, so it does have a degree of aimlessness to it that'll never change.
