Want to buy Monster Sanctuary for my girlfriend but I kinda don't want to load my credit card onto her switch (not to mention finding the opportunity to access her switch while she is away).

Never buy a digital title on the switch... or a Nintendo product in general. Their online service and online store is garbo.

Just make sure that she knows that she'll have to keep a permanent copy of it on storage somewhere for when Nintendo inevitably shut down the Switch store in a few years.
