Poll of the Day > So I've been playing Graveyard Keeper.... (spoilers?)

I kept hearing it's like Stardew Valley but bad. But I've never played Stardew Valley, and this seemed more interesting. But anyway, I was fixing up my graveyard, then a ghost shot lightning at everything and told me there's too many red skulls. But there's no red skulls because I exhumed all the bad bodies and replaced them with good bodies. But I fixed all the damage he did. I hope that's not a recurring thing. Also I need berries to bake cakes, and I hear the witch will sell me berry bush saplings but she doesn't have an option to trade? Also the inquisitor gave me a vineyard and I haven't touched it at all because I've been too busy trying to figure out why my zombies won't mine iron ore even though it says they are. I actually am enjoying it quite a bit, I have a handle on making the graveyard good, and making the church good and giving sermons and all that good stuff. But like it keeps throwing new systems at me like the crates and I'm just trying to get my zombies to actually do what I tell them. Also I need to figure out alchemy so I can make more zombies because I used up all the free zombie juice.

Also maybe I should play Stardew Valley sometime and make a farm that exclusively deals in making mayonnaise.

Oooh apparently the iron ore stockpile isn't enough. Apparently there needs to be a trunk because they can mine other stuff. Thanks game!

I think I might try this... That being said, Stardew Valley is really fun. I actually started a new file on that recently... Normally, I'm super rich. But because I have played it before, I started out a little less rich because I know I can use the items...

That is a possibility... Though, you'll have to grow crops first so you can get a chicken coop. And then get a mayonnaise making machine...

Like the first time you upgrade the church, the bishop is like "by the way unless you have a certain reputation with the kingdom you can't give sermons anymore now" cool, thanks for telling me that before I put all that money and effort into this.

Yeah I'm playing on Switch! I know there's a DLC that came out a couple months ago that's not on Switch yet, but the rest of it is.

So I upgraded the church to a cathedral, the Bishop says I need to be an aristocrat to give sermons now, but everything I'm reading online says that's not true, so we'll see. I started steel crafting, marble crafting, I have a bunch of gold and silver I need to smelt so I can make stained glass windows. I need to get into the vineyard. I've had it forever and not touched it. Especially cus the main quest now requires me to make wine. I have most of the technologies now. Some really expensive one are really all I'm missing. I have zombies hauling stone, marble and iron to my house constantly and I have more zombies that just make things with them lol

Oh and at this point I've kind of completely neglected the graveyard. All I know is if I keep working on it, I'll get more money from sermons.

Oh and now that I can do like high level crafting like steel and gold, I'm going to try to make a gold quality Combo Sermon so I'll get tons of money and faith every week. But I want to upgrade items inside the cathedral further before I do that so I have the highest success rate.

Yeah I get 120 faith a sermon and 6-7 gold. They crafter prayers are useful in upgrading the cementary as they increase your chances of getting those gold marble pieces

Make sure to take time for embalming and yank those old bodies and burn them.

Also is there any drawback to tossing corpses and low efficiency zoms in the river?

You basically need red skulls for ebalming preferably 3. Then you use glue which is +1, silver swap red for white, then a gold whitch is silver x2. That results in a plus 4 white skulls to your corpse.

you can also later remove good organs and insert them into the corpse or zombie for freakishly quick 20 white skull zombies. Had one that maintained my alchemy grinder that produced 60 reagents a day.

I made a gold star combo sermon and made the inside of the cathedral all fancy. I got like 60 cinnamon rolls and 50 silver \o/

I should get around to playing this. I own all the DLC except the newest one I think.

I'm definitely enjoying myself. I have a pretty good handle on how the game works now, and I can usually figure things out, but I do have the wiki open when I play in case I need to know where I can buy/sell something or how to do something with alchemy.

Speaking of Stardew, the 1.5 update came out not too long ago (for PC at least). From what I've skimmed over, it seems to add a lot of late-game goals, which is something that I thought the game was sorely lacking in. I will be sure to check it out once some time soon

Depending on what was changed, maybe switch, as well... I think something was different when I started. But I can't remember what now...

So I like completely forgot that Gerry asked me to bring him some silver wine. I brought him some and he led me on a quest and now I own a Tavern and zombies carry wine and beer there constantly and it sells out like immediately lol

Dont forget to stock salty foods and doing the different acts. Each act has a full house version and a funny version. During which you can make big money. Also a fully automated winery is the best you can do for the tavern.

Yeah I spent my blue points to get all the automated alcohol stuff. Now I need the zombies and materials to actually do it. So if I give them the seeds, part of their production makes more seeds right? It can't like run out can it?

You can but its a rng zombies make 12-18 seeds per harvest (good rolls are increased by zom efficiency) so if rngeesus hates you then if you start with 30 seeds eventually he may run out but the odds are so low you shouldn't worry

Finally got back to maintaining the graveyard thanks to embalming. I just started on the western half, just buried like 15 bodies, and raised the score to like 400. We'll see what that does for me this coming sunday. And I finally got a few more pieces of gold, so maybe I can upgrade some candelabras in the church. And I think I'm going to make a few more zombies then I might finally tackle the dungeon.

All the technologies are unlocked, now I'm just doing all the quests I can, including DLC quests while I expand my graveyard/zombie army. I already have some items required for the portal but some quests are giving me trouble cus I have to like stop what I'm doing and wait a week for the NPC to come back. Idk why the daily NPC thing is a thing tbh. Just makes the questing slow down.

Welp my save is corrupted or something. It just sticks on the loading screen at 5% or so and never moves forward. Oh well, I played it for over an in-game year, I did like 95% of the quests, I did pretty much everything there was to do

There is a cloud save feature but I've never used it. I'll look into that next time I play
