Most women who are sexually assaulted or raped do not report it.
There is a tremendous amount of judgement social stigma through at victims. And there are hardly any false accusations statistically. The idea that you need to deter women coming forward with what happened to them to "Punish the liars." is just giving a greenlight to the empowerment of predators. False accusations destroy mens lives, even when found out false that shit is still carried with them. There aren't a whole lot of repercussions for this stuff. I hardly ever hear of women getting punished over false accusations.
