It felt rushed. Like they shoved 2 seasons into 1 or something. A lot of the twists were strange. Like Varney is Death. Uh... what? I was waiting for Death since the first episode, but just the way he was revealed felt off. And some of the characterization was bad. Like how Isaac's motivations just changed every single episode. And while a lot of the action was good, there was too much of it, and it never felt high stakes. There were a lot of fight scenes where I kind of just tuned out and waited for it to end. And the ending was weird, because Oh the next season will be Simon or Richter or something. But Trevor, Dracula and Lisa are still alive because... reasons. Like the ending was almost good then it just fell apart. I also noticed there were some strange animation errors here and there, or the backdrops didn't match up sometimes. And sometimes the dialogue felt unfinished, a character will literally say the same line 3 times. Like yeah, you already said that, move on?

Overall while I liked the series, it definitely started out strong in the first two seasons, then it fell apart. Hopefully at least Konami is making a new game.

Castlevania was like Spawn cartoon on HBO, great cartoon for the first season but after that quickly lost interest. I have no problem walking away from tv shows when quality dips.

I wanted to like this show. I loved the first "season" and the trio's two fifths of the second season. The remainder of Season 2 and then the third season are when I lost interest in general, but not so much I didn't watch a summary video on the finale. Probably the two best things about season 4, imo, are:

1) Varney being a nod to a publication about vampires that long predates Dracula, if only by name alone, not by personality nor motivation
2) Sypha's swearing moment as they fought those bunch of goblins.
