Dunno if anyone is interested in this opening weekend since there aren't any interesting matchups, but I just wanted the chance to kick off the college season with a hearty LOL Nebraska.

Idk why, but I felt pretty strongly that Illinois would come out and win that game. Nebraska lately just seems stagnant. Scott Frost hasn't quite gotten over the hump, but I also feel like Adrian Martinez has been the QB there for a century.

Yeah, I was surprised to learn he was still the QB. I guess he's taking full advantage of the extra eligibility!

OU-Nebraska is going to be either Nebraskas last gasp at being relevant and playing like they havent in 10-15 years, or us winning by 50

He transferred lol.

As B8's resident Nebraska fan.

Nebraska sucks. Frost will be canned mid or after the season.

Rumors are Frost was trying to find away out of this game.

So Nebraska will go up to a quick 14-3 lead and the final score will be OU 63 NE 17.

Frost gets fired after the game. Thats my prediction.

Assuming you mean Dylan, when he was at Michigan I wanted him to start from arrival. I still don't know how Joe Milton "won" the starting job, but then again I don't know how any starter at Michigan has "won" his starting job since Harbaugh arrived. He seems to pick the wrong guy every time.

The problem is I think Nebraska is toast.

I think you let frost just ride out his contract because you arent doing any better. Nebraska is simply irrelevant and doesnt have any recruits nearby

Nebraska used to be able to draw recruits because of their prestigious history. High school seniors weren't even alive the last time Nebraska was great.

Nebraska can still recruit. They've been top 25 or near a top 25 class since they have had Frost. It's not a recruiting issue.

Maybe locally they aren't grabbing anyone especially in programs like NDSU, Wisconsin, and even Iowa just plain being better football schools.

Nebraska isn't bringing home any championships in regards to football any time soon nor do I expect them to. Whole program needs to be built from scratch. Fans don't care at this point about championships except for maybe boomers who lived through the 70's 80's and 90's Nebraska teams. Fans just want bowl games and to be competitive.

Pelini(can't believe it was that long ago) had to go, but the program is dead.

As a Vols fan, I can relate. I don't know what the Heupel era will bring, but I do know we're still a long way from being consistently competitive. I just hope our offense isn't total garbage like it was under Pruitt and Guarantano.

Coming from a Wisconsin fan... Scott Frost is a shitshow and I'm here for it. I do think he's headed for the can. The "hire your 90s QB as your head coach" certainly worked for us but it's not working for Nebraska. But I don't know if Scott Frost is actually that good of a recruiter - it's not a matter of getting the "best overall players" so much as getting the "right fit." He's not getting the right guys and he can't develop the ones he does get.

Badgers fans want a national title. We keep coming oh so close but can't finish out a season the right way. At least nobody's calling for Chryst's head... except for the usual few idiots. Ever since he got back here, we've been consistent and he's a huge part of that.

I love how local Minnesota media wants and yearns to say stuff like upset and win the West and shit. Maybe had the Gophers not Gophers and went from 11-2 to 3-4/4-3 (whatever the FUCK), maybe I'd believe them.

God. That high from beating Penn State and Auburn feels like a pipedream that never actually happened.

Ohio State back in the lead. Here I was preparing to show heavy criticism regarding Stroud's accuracy given his air balls, but maybe he just had nerves the first half. Still plenty of game to go and Minnesota is playing hard, while Ohio isn't playing as fast.

Got a feeling this game will be a thriller.

Wow. Ohio State got a lucky break on that fumble recovery. May have been just a few inches shy of targeting. Certainly a "hit stick" kind of tackle, but that's the quintessential lucky break. I mean INCHES from a targeting call.

The Vols only scored more than 38 points five times under Pruitt (and two of those times were against FCS schools), so if nothing else, it's nice to see an offense that can score, even if I have reservations about the QB.

I feel like the refs called everything for Minnesota in the first half so it evens out.

That being said the really lucky break for us was what you never want to see and that was Ibrahim getting injured. He was basically getting whatever he wanted every play. It looked like his achilles twanged on the replay as you could visibly see something go and then his muscle vibrate from it. I really hope it isn't that serious, he looked a fantastic player

Sadly I think Nebraska recruits better than Iowa.

Kirk Ferentz was terrible at recruiting even before the recent race scandal.

I really hope he retires soon and Iowa doesnt hand the job to his son.
