Yes, just wait

Close your eyes, slow your breathing. Imagine you are breathing in icy cool air slowly and exhale all the "spicy" air in your chest.

Inhale with an Ooooo
Exhale with a haaaah

I got diagnosed 2 years ago. Pantoprazole keeps it mostly under control.

When I get those weird chest pains though, I usually end up contorting my body around to try and get myself to burp, and that usually makes them go away.

Basically, try to give yourself 3 hours after you eat before you go to sleep. Don't eat anything to acidic or citrus. And keep a bottle of antiacid by your nightstand so you can use it if you need it at night

Had it for years, and for a while, would just pop tums/antacids whenever it started up. Not the healthiest thing, because I'm pretty sure all the calcium from those kind of contributed to my kidney stones last year... After that happened switched over to taking famotidine, which seems to work for the most part (still creeps up from time to time though)

Had it in my 20s and was on Prilosec, but I did an elimination diet and figured out the foods that I have intolerances to. No longer have any problems.

I may or may not have it. I do however have eosinophilic esophagitis, and am on 40 mg pantoprazole dr twice a day. I don't have symptoms very often, and when I do they last less than 10 minutes.

Do you people take Omeprazole everyday? I thought those pills were for you to take 14 days and then wait 4 months if you want to take it again for another 14 days

I took omeprazole for a long time as prescribed by my doctor. Eventually it just took care of the issue permanently and I dont need it anymore.

Some people just self medicate and get OTC stuff and some people actually get diagnosed with chronic GERD, and are prescribed a PPI for daily use.

Tbqh I feel like most people who have random bouts of non-gerd acid reflux, probably get it from drinking too much.
