I know by Firefox 56 it no longer worked and that came out in 2017. I never updated Firefox past 56 and instead switched to Waterfox, which is based on Firefox 56. I don't have the artistic skill to make comics or anything like others have for SMFFFC in the past, but what I do have is free time and determination. One of the many hobbies I fall into and then out of every few years is cross-stitching, which I learned from my mother growing up. I felt the itch to do it again, and what better image to spend a hundred hours on than one honoring YRP? Bear in mind, I'm basically an amateur cross-stitcher. I made the pattern myself using Brave Exvius sprites that I modified in some ways to limit the number of different shades and such. That meant I had to choose my own thread colors, and that's where things went a bit wrong. Yuna's face is yellower than the rest of her skin because I changed to a better color only after doing it. I should have gone a whole shade lighter with the orange parts of Rikku's hair to keep it from all blending together. Instead of black, I used a super dark grey for Paine's sword that wound up kind of blending with the grey of her clothing. I also made a mistake on Yuna's braid. I thought it was odd that the sprite turned her hair red so I changed it, only to finally look at a picture of X-2 Yuna afterwards and realize, whoops, she wraps that hair with something red. I outlined it with red thread, for however little that fixes it. In theory I could rip out the stitches and do those parts over, but the risk of ruining the underlying fabric makes me wary. Besides, as my mother always said, if I wanted perfection I could've just printed out a picture. A cross-stitch is supposed to look like a cross-stitch, and I suppose there's art in the imperfections too. On that note, here it is. I've considered doing something Animal Crossing related for my nephew to pass that feeling on, we played New Horizons quite a bit together online. That's how I am with hobbies, I get into them 1000% for a month or so and then move on entirely. A hundred hours is my rough estimate.
