I'm not even sure he wanted to do any of that shit in the first place. It's all just buzzwords that progressives kept repeating like a mantra to talk themselves into voting for a lifelong corporate shill because they knew the alternative was somehow worse.

To be fair though, let's say Joe Biden suddenly decides he's for the people instead of his corporate masters, and he wants to do some ethics reform or some voting reform. Whatever. Best case scenario that bill dies on the Senate floor 48-52. Or 48-51 because Sinema is in Europe running a marthon or whatever she does with her days lol.

No, it was the bullshit that "centrists" on here kept telling progressives as they tried to sell Biden as "the most progressive US president in US history". Is that technically correct? Maybe, but the reality is a lot less impressive than the honor would indicate and it was insulting to hear them blab on and on about that after blocking the much more progressive Bernie from getting the nomination.

Like Biden said: "Nothing will fundamentally change". You can shriek about the context of that quote, but it's perfectly suitable to describe this administration, their intentions and their actions.
