unrelated but Nickolodeon All Star Brawl is dying on twitch. it went from at least 2,000 viewers when i checked a couple weeks ago to about 60 viewers today, meanwhile smash was at 6,000 viewers when i checked today.

The game seemed a bit like a meme. Gameplay looks solid but the visuals are lacking.

Weak visuals, lack of character audio, bland sound effects and unpolished movesets. The only thing I give the game credit for is gameplay mechanics. People talking about this being the Smash killer.

i think its gameplay is the weakest thing about it. it's an aerial spamfest, there is literally no ground gameplay to be seen. just because its "fast" doesn't make it remotely complex or interesting to even watch

This is what I'm thinking. Pi had to move it, and then when he saw the weekend after was Halloween weekend, he probably figured he can just wait a few weeks and try again in November.

Yeah despite being marketed as a competitive game, it seems like it didnt really have much depth to it at all. Just because you can wave dash, doesnt make it good for competitive. I predicted it wouldnt even top Rivals of Aether after a couple months at tournaments.

Its pretty insane how the smash games have so much depth to them, takes a knock off smash killer to really make you appreciate it

For me, it was a mix of the price point being too high for what we were being offered

and that I already had Smash/Rivals of Aether/Brawlhalla to fill in that niche, Nick All Stars didn't really seem to offer much new

How do y'all feel about Wolf mains? Been trying out new characters lately because Ganon sucks (in the best way), and unfortunately I've landed on what I feel is a very basic main. I think it's the relative simplicity that attracts me (and many others) to him. Everything he does pretty much works exactly as expected, and execution isn't as difficult as other good characters.

He's a solid fundamentals based character. Can't really do no wrong in maining him, most people keep the character as a pocket for a reason.

Doesn't @NightMarishPie play Wolf?

I feel like Wolf is basic from a gameplay perspective, but I also don't see many people play as him anymore so it balances out.
Also he's a cool character in general and has some cool dialogue. You need to get a rival who mains Fox so you guys can get the special win quotes lol.

Play who you want to play :) If you like playing him, or he fits your playstyle, then he's a great man for you.

If you are a Ganon main, Wolf is probably a great switch. They play kind of similar, but Wolf just does everything way better

Yeah, he definitely feels like the most natural transition out of all the characters I've tried. And then having the laser is so fucking good. Feels like some serious privilege after playing Ganon. It's also nice to not have "get your ass beat for a while" to be a necessity in games against fast characters lol.

One thing I picked up playing Ganon though is that I always watch out for habits/patterns since it's basically required to win in a lot of cases. I'm not like a read master or anything, but idk if I would be looking as hard by now if my main was different.

Yeah Lost and Angels basically nailed it. Wolf is cool because his kit makes sense, nothing super crazy with his moves or gimmicks, blaster is great for zoning, has a decent reflector, easy combos, great air speed and imo, looks flashy and cool. The problems with Wolf is that his ground speed and moves aren't the fastest and his disadvantage and off stage are bad to mediocre.

Cool character, love playing as him and easy to use. Strengths are amazing and weaknesses aren't that bad. Definitely a solid choice.

I beat the best player's G&W at the uni. Great win, all because I went for Side B, rising fair and rest. Had to go for it, I was behind. Hell yes. Otherwise he won a majority of the games.

Great player, but I do think he's beatable. 40Kal and ant have better G&W's, and Edge has a better Rob. So I'm already surrounded by the best.
