Just curious. I adore slashers especially the golden age 70s/80s ones. I stumbled upon Fear Street but am not sure if its something Ill like or not.

Is it at least ok? Will it scratch that itch for a nice gory slasher film?

Loved the whole thing.

Everyone says this but I still really liked the first movie a lot. >_>

I still liked part 1, but I really did feel like they managed to consecutively get better each film.

Ok but are they solid slasher flicks?

I like Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Black Christmas, Sleepaway Camp, My Bloody Valentine, Friday The 13th, Hatchet etc.

The second one is the most slasher movie of the three. I think you'll like that one.

One and three change tone a little bit.

This.

3 really isnt a slasher at all. More like a period piece horror.

This is true. It was a weak movie and was difficult to watch a lot of the time, but imo it had the 2 best kills of the trilogy and they were nearly back to back. Overall, worthwhile trilogy, and having them all release in quick succession was good, because if they had been made a few years apart, I may have lost interest after the first one, but because I watched them when I did, I heard a lot of people saying 2 and 3 were better so I didn't write them off.

This is a big reason why I didn't like the first one. It's like they got a Greatest Hits of the 90s CD and decided to use the entire thing.

They should have played Two Princes during the chase scenes

I hope they continue the series. I've heard rumor that the creator would like to do more with the franchise. There is a lot of different directions they could go with it

I thought the second had the most brutal kill tbh. The repeated side stabbing got to me. Lol.

Also that person ended up not dying so there is that

I found the film to be way too corny and dramatic. It takes itself way too seriously. The forced relation between Josh and Kate was awful too. It came out of nowhere. It only had two good kills and its in the films final act.

I wanted to like it but it didn't do it for me. Its almost like it lacked the self awareness to realize it was kind of goofy and cliche so it tries to be serious and falls flat.

The second one looks good though.
